Code of Ethics

for the Host Family

In order to create harmony, a peaceful living environment, both the Au Pair and the Host Family are responsible.  To help achieve this, AupairHunter proposes a basic type of behaviour, common sense !

AupairHunter basic code of practice

As a Host Family

• Offer a decent living space, a room that you could live in. 
• An Au Pair is mainly to take care of your children, at other times they can help out with the household chores, but not the other way around.
• Treat your Au Pair as a family member
• Treat your Au Pair with respect and be patient
• Fix a weekly or monthly payday
• Help your Au Pair to open a Bank account
• Make a weekly chart so that your Au Pair can organize her time off
• If your Au Pair needs to work more hours, please compensate this with extra pocket money or time off.
• Do not abuse your Au Pair, it is not cheap labour (this can be legally penalized)

If you feel that any party has not followed this code of ethics, or you feel abused, please inform us about the situation.  Personally we will contact the abuser to verify the situation and if nesesary clean up our data base to avoid future undesired incidents.  Please notify us of any abuse.  Profiles with several complaints will be included in our internal Black List.
